Its Bob Mackie bitches

Well WTF can I say about the garment above? Its a pristine museum worthy piece by Bob Mackie. It has the motherfokkin zodiac emblazoned on the front with crystal sequins. Now, I love Zodiac themed clothing as much as the next guy but the design of each sign is genius. Its also perfect for Halloween. So, this cape got my wheels turning towards being a caped crusader this fall so I'm posting capes and then my frilly Miami alter ego also wanted to chime in on this post so I'm including flouncy pastel silk creampuffs in this too. Please stay tuned as Animal will be participating in an Art Basel vintage pop-up store in Miami in December where you will be able to purchase some of these gems. XX

Before I go....

Rykiel cherry print apron dress
Richeline, as knocked of by Marc Jacobs

Oh lawd, I hear African drums in the distance

This might be the motherload of caftans and has the biggest "wingspan" I've seen on a garment

So, this is probably the last update I will do from my upstairs office in Brooklyn. For so long I had been a pouty baby about shopping in NY and the surrounding areas bc I was sure it was picked over and I wasn't going to find anything and how could anything possibly be better than digging in South Florida? Well, for once, I was wrong. I only regret thinking about what I missed out on. I mean, this is the place where I found a quilted coat with a leather patchwork mallard duck on it and my pink and black leopard weirdo cocoon sweater dress. I started realizing that even eccentrics get tired of their stuff and want to pass it on to eagerly awaiting vintage obsessors so they can keep shopping. Oh New York- we have had such an intense relationship. You've dressed me in your finest rags, will DC be able to compete? I will keep you posted. In the meantime, enjoy my pre-fall warm-up....

Can't Stop,Won't Stop

Personal acquisition of the week, and no your eyes are not fooling you, those are padded kimono sleeves

I know, I couldn't believe my eyes either...

Don't be fooled! Its a scarf(which will be sewn into a caftan) and a cropped bolero

A creampuff dream

Such gorgeous embroidery and fabric

Really good hardware

So I'm finally at the tail end of this heinous cold/club lung that has been pounding my immune system for the past 3 weeks. So what better way to celebrate than to go out and dig? Some days I felt like shit and that translated into what I would find, and then I put my good vintage vibes out and voila....magical scorpion necklaces and embroidered caftans appear. There is so much other good stuff I found but my camera was dying and I was too lazy to wait for it to recharge. You'll have to make due until the next post. P.S. I think the gargantuan moving sale will be in the next 3 weeks...I will keep you posted.
