HODGEPODGE

Excuse the absence last week, we were in the middle of moving into our new place and needless to say, it was hectic. The combination of epic heat and physical exertion has been more than my old brittle bones can handle. Well, moving into a new place always brings out the home decorating beast that hibernates within me. I've bought enough 60s and 70s decorating books to start my own library and have obsessively been stalking the www.warymeyers.com site for ideas. Also this site BLOWS my mind, its genius http://frommoontomoon.blogspot.com/ -check it out! Ok, so per usual, I'm going off on a tangent here...so I've been scouring the thrift stores, estates, garage sales etc.. for house stuff and somehow always come home with bags and bags of clothes. Here's the thing, the shit has been FIYYYAAA the past 2 weeks. Silk chiffon tie dye, cross eyed crazy jewelry, gaultier, marimekko, balinese crochet, pixelated needlepoint horses, just overall craziness in all vintage departments. I took a few quick shots of some stuff and will post more in the next day or 2. Go ahead and gorge yourselves.......

2 Piece Combo, Super Sized

You know I couldn't have been happier when I peeped the Lanvin resort 2012 collection and saw floaty silk chiffon dresses and 2 piece outfits, sprinkled with platforms and turbans throughout. If you know me, you know I stockpile turbans and platforms and glittery silk chiffon and big jewels and anything "Magical genie realness." I also accosted a woman in a parking lot a few weeks ago that was wearing an epic 2 piece Miss O. outfit. Her orange skin tone and cotton candy consistency coiffed hair created an armor around her... it made me nervous. When I finally summoned the courage to give her my business card, she was in her big white Cadillac applying and re-applying her coral lipstick and perfume. I almost didn't want to interrupt her grooming routine. I love watching the older creatures and their elegant ways, its like going back in time. I am overcome with happiness and inspiration when I see a lady, dressed, perfumed, made up and coiffed. Such elegance, such dignity.....So anyway, a theme has once again presented itself....enjoy. Summer

It has been a long time friends! We have moved and are finally back on our feet! Unfortunately, we are nowhere near a large body of water. It is unbearably hot and the kiddie pool in the backyard ain't cuttin it. I've been daydreaming about going to the beach. Its very hard to concentrate in the office when there are racks of bathing suits and coverups right in front of my desk. Especially when they are so incredibly fantastic. All these pieces will be up on etsy and available for purchase this weekend.
